Clarity: Leaders must not be vague when communicating a message. Direct and to the point, leaders will gain trust in those to which they speak. Good leaders also take responsibility for the messages they send. It is not the responsibility of the receiver to understand a message, but that of the sender. If a misunderstanding occurs during the communication of an important message, a good and trusted leader will take responsibility for the misunderstanding and re-communicate the message to ensure clarity and therefore safeguard trust.
